Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) funded by South Lanarkshire Council is working with third sector employer organisations to create a range of paid work experience for unemployed individuals who are:

1. Aged 25+ and have been out of work for 12 months or more and are experiencing additional barriers to securing employment.
2. Are South Lanarkshire residents and have the right to live and work in the UK.
3. Not currently engaged in employment, training or education.

Each opportunity will:

1. Offer 30 hours per week
2. Pay the Real Living Wage of £9.90
3. Last for 26 weeks

The types of opportunities are varied and can include, for example, admin, catering, childcare, advocacy and youth work.
