Volunteers Week 2021

2021 marks the 37th year of Volunteers’ Week (1-7 June), when VASLan will join thousands of charities and voluntary organisations recognising the contribution volunteers make across the UK and thanking them for all they do.

The contribution of volunteers is often unseen and unrecognised by many, visible only through the incredible impact of their volunteering. However, the coronavirus pandemic has rightly raised the profile of volunteering and more people than ever are aware of the immense contribution being made every single day by the UK’s volunteers.

VASLan are asking everyone to get involved and CHEER to show their appreciation to volunteers; be it the amazing contribution made by long standing volunteers across South Lanarkshire or a thank you to those new to volunteering as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Voluntary Action South Lanarkshire would like to follow the Volunteer Scotland theme for this year and urge everyone to GET CREATIVE

Send us your CHEERING messages, volunteer stories, drawings or photos of or for volunteers, your poems, songs, videos…anything creative celebrating volunteering and CHEERING volunteers!  Send your messages to comms@vaslan.org.uk

All messages will be displayed in the Voluntary Action South Lanarkshire Volunteers' Week CHEERING Gallery and will also be shared via #volunteersweekscot
