With an increasing appetite amongst non-environmental charities, social enterprises and community groups to do more to address the climate emergency, South Lanarkshire Council working alongside Voluntary Action South Lanarkshire, is looking for social enterprises based in South Lanarkshire to participate in a new Climate Confident Pilot.

This pilot will offer up to 30 enterprises the opportunity to participate in workshop training, receive wraparound support and act towards Net Zero in the development of a new digital tool that will help your organisation to:

The South Lanarkshire Social Enterprise Network (SLSEN) meeting continues in January. This time, the networking meeting was held in EK Collective, a warm and friendly workspace and social enterprise in East Kilbride. We invited and brought together social enterprises across South Lanarkshire to develop ideas, discuss challenges and opportunities, and make plans for the future.

We are excited to finally be in a position to launch the South Lanarkshire Social Enterprise Network and we have listened to what you want and are having the first meeting in-person.

SLSEN is a membership network of South Lanarkshire social enterprise leaders who believe that social enterprise can transform the economic, environmental, social, and cultural life of South Lanarkshire. By supporting, promoting and developing social enterprise we aim to create an environment in South Lanarkshire in which social enterprises are able to flourish.

VASLan: Moving to Action

We are absolutely delighted to be launching our new strategy for 2022 to 2024, ‘Moving to Action’.

Our previous strategy ended in 2020, and whilst around 65% to 70% was achieved, we perhaps fell a bit short in a few areas, including our approach to volunteering, and to social enterprise. Through the pandemic, we have been playing our part in supporting South Lanarkshire’s third sector emergency response, our sector stepping up when our communities needed it.
