Cash to Help Climate Change and Food Growing in South Lanarkshire

Community groups will soon be able to apply for new grants to help their work on climate change and food growing initiatives.

The grants of up to £2,500 are part of a £10 million package of investments being taken forward by South Lanarkshire Council through this year’s budget. Local groups will be able to bid for grants for a range of purposes, from buying gardening equipment for community food projects, to starting up services which allow people to repair or reuse items rather than scrap and replace them.
