    Seed funding grants are available for UK based charities and other not-for-profit groups and organisations to trial new and innovative ways to support people in the UK who are suffering with poor mental health.
    Raising awareness of young suicide
    Urging all who are suffering in silence to speak up and ask for help.
    Supporting all who are fighting to overcome poor mental health, especially young people, and especially where this can be done through outdoor activities like hillwalking and Duke of Edinburgh’s Award
    Assisting in the provision of education and support that will help to increase awareness and knowledge of the issues around mental health and well-being for all and especially amongst young people
    Grants of between £100 and £2,500 are available.
    Applications will be accepted from individuals; charities; social enterprises, community interest companies; schools; colleges; universities; pre-registration start-ups; voluntary groups; community groups and other not-for-profit entities based in the UK.

    There are no closing dates for applications. Applications will be reviewed by the trustees during their monthly meetings.

    Application Exclusions

    The following are not eligible for funding:
    Ongoing operational expenses.
    Salaries.
    Companies that are aimed at generating profits for private distribution.
    The grants can be used to trial a new service, create an asset, a technology, a performance, fund research, or otherwise experiment in any way that supports mental health. The emphasis will be on innovation – using new methods, channels, technology, ideas or approaches to reach out and effect change.
