Success at First Strategic Workshop
Following the momentum of the successful CPP Development Day on 14 May, South Lanarkshire Council and VASLan co-hosted a Strategic Engagement Workshop on 22 May, bringing together 35 third sector organisations committed to shaping a stronger, fairer South Lanarkshire.
This was the first in a series of partnership review sessions. This session focused on values, voice and vision with future workshops focusing on funding and commissioning.
Over two hours of rich discussion we:
• Identified shared principles to underpin strategic partnerships.
• Mapped where third sector voices are – and aren’t – currently heard.
• Explored how to embed the sector meaningfully in strategic decisions.
• Agreed on the importance of equal footing, trust, and early involvement.
This workshop marks a crucial step in co-creating a new Third Sector Engagement Partnership Agreement. The insights gathered will feed directly into future sessions on funding and commissioning. If you want to get involved with the next workshop on funding that is taking place on 12 June, you can sign up here.
With continued effort, leadership, and transparent processes we can build a stronger, fairer, community-led South Lanarkshire. Let's keep the momentum going. Together, we're setting a new standard for collaboration, let's #KeepTheBeatAlive!
