What are the essential policies and procedures recommended for all volunteering involving organisations?

Join us in our first of 4 training modules as we explore these essential policies and procedures.

This session is aimed at organisations who are at a stage where they feel they could benefit from involving volunteers, or in fact already involve volunteers, but would like to re-examine their procedures and processes. This course will cover:

- Identifying the need for policies and procedures.

This session will introduce people who have to raise funds for their cause to the need for a strong case for support & the ability to develop one.

There is a small car park at the side of the building (please do not use the South Lanarkshire Council car park) with spaces on a first come basis.

This half-day workshop is designed to help voluntary organisations make sense of evaluation, and to make it work for them.

The Volunteer Management Course is aimed at organisations who are at a stage where they feel they could benefit from involving volunteers, or in fact already involve volunteers, but would like to re-examine their procedures and processes.
Together this training aims to:
•    Look at WHY we involve volunteers
•    WHAT we want volunteers to do
•    Are we READY to involve volunteers
•    HOW can we provide an excellent volunteering experience

Following on from Role Descriptions a step by step guide to recruiting and selecting volunteers.

In this session we will cover:
- Methods of recruiting and Promotion 
- Planning a recruitment process to get volunteers involved.
- Selecting potential Volunteers

The aim of this course is to provide committee members with an overview of their strategic role and responsibilities in relation to the governance of their organisation, highlight the difference between governance and management and cover key responsibilities under charity law. Key principles of good governance, board sustainability and ensuring quality are all covered. Recommended for new and existing committee members.
