Back in June 2023, we hosted the Supporting New Scots in Lanarkshire conference alongside Voluntary Action North Lanarkshire, NHS Lanarkshire, Health & Social Care North Lanarkshire and South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnership.

During the conference, we heard from three New Scots who shared their lived experience about arriving in Scotland, what support they received and what support they wished they had received. Five local organisations also presented to share information on what support they offer to New Scots in Lanarkshire, and to give advice to other organisations on how they can best support New Scots. These organisations were Waverley Care, The International Conversation Cafe, East Kilbride Old Parish Church, Diamonds in the Community and Heart of Africa.
