Third Sector Locality Networks: YOUR Locality Needs YOU!

Following the Third Sector Locality Networks launch in September, VASLan is looking to identify organisations in the Cambuslang and Rutherglen; and Hamilton, Larkhall and Blantyre localities interested in leading the planning and facilitation of future events in their locality.

The Locality Network structure replaces the previous Third Sector Forum, which ran from 2015; the restructuring proposal, launched in March 2022, details the reasoning behind the move to this new structure and the requirements of organisations or partnerships that wish to lead. With 2.5 years of funding available (£5,000 to deliver the remaining 2x year one events, with £10,000 per year to deliver 4x events during years 2 and 3), this is an exciting opportunity to lead on behalf of your locality and help drive the agenda to reflect the distinct needs, challenges and opportunities of its third sector.

With the quarterly Clydesdale; and East Kilbride and Strathaven Locality Networks already running and thriving under locality leadership, we are keen to identify organisations or partnerships to similarly progress the new structure in South Lanarkshire’s other two localities.

If your organisation is based in either locality and interested in getting involved, please complete the Locality Networks Lead Application by 5:00 pm on Friday, 10th February. For further information on the application process or Third Sector Locality Networks, please contact Stuart Reilly, VASLan Locality Leadat stuart.reilly@vaslan.org.uk.
