VASLan Announces Planned CEO Transition

VASLan confirms that, as planned, Interim Chief Executive Jimmy Wilson will step down from his role on 30 June 2026, following a successful period leading the organisation through significant stabilisation and strategic development.

Jimmy joined VASLan in November 2024 to support the organisation during a time of change. Under his leadership, VASLan has strengthened its financial position, delivered locality strategies, contributed to the South Lanarkshire Third Sector Partnership Review, and progressed work on Marmot initiatives and new SLC and HSCP investment opportunities. It had always been the case that Jimmy’s appointment was temporary and the board are hugely grateful that he has achieved so much for VASLan and the sector in such a short time.

The Board of Trustees will now begin a formal recruitment process for a permanent Chief Executive. Jimmy will remain in post over the next six months to ensure a smooth and well-managed transition.

VASLan remains fully committed to supporting South Lanarkshire’s third sector and ensuring continuity across all programmes and partnerships. For media enquiries, please contact: office@vaslan.org.uk
