In partnership with The Terence Higgins Trust, VASLan are hosting an LGBTI awareness training session.
This session will be of interest to anyone volunteering or working within the LGBT community or who has an interest in issues faced by the LGBT community. This session is the first in a programme of training events that the Terence Higgins Trust will be presenting alongside VASLan.

This session will show participants a range of different creative approaches to evaluation and how to use them as well as understand the steps and principles to follow when developing creative approaches and be able to adapt those approaches for your own project.

Food Hygiene level two course is a food safety course for those involved in the preparation of food. It covers all the basics of food preparation, regulations, precautions and care when preparing food for others. It is designed to meet the requirements of various regulations in food preparation, HACCP and health and safety. The course covers regulations, preparation, storage, infections, cross-contamination, reporting, PPE, date marks, reporting illness and basic first aid in the kitchen.
A Light Lunch will be provided with this course.

This session will introduce participants to gift aid and how to maximise their income from it. The aim of the session is to understand the benefits of registering as a charity with HMRC for tax purposes, describe the basic requirements of a Gift Aid declaration and understand the importance of keeping records for audit by HMRC.
