Volunteer Awards
VASLan Volunteer awards celebrate the impact that Volunteers make to the communities across South Lanarkshire. The awards will recognise the wide, varied and vital work carried out by the South Lanarkshire Volunteers on a daily basis. Anyone can nominate an organisation or volunteer (including themselves).
Nominatations are now being accepted for the following categories:
Young Volunteer Award
This category will recognise a special young volunteer aged 25 years old or younger who has made a significant contribution and commitment to volunteering, making them an exemplary role model for young people in South Lanarkshire.
Long-Serving Volunteer Award
This award recognises the dedication and service of volunteers of all ages who have volunteered with an organisation for a period of five or more years and who continue to have an invaluable impact on the organisation and those it supports.
Volunteer of the Year Award
This award will be presented to an extraordinary individual whose outstanding commitment to volunteering has changed lives and/or communities, inspired others and made them worthy of special recognition.
How to Nominate
Nominations are open now and will be assessed by a judging panel of representatives from a cross-section of agencies. The top three in each category will be announced and all shortlisted nominations will be invited to attend a glittering awards ceremony in later in the year (COVID restrictions permitting), where winners will be announced.
