System Upgrade: OSCR On-Line Portal

Office of Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR) upgraded their system to OSCR On-Line which went live on 25th July 2022.

Existing charities have been notified by email and should have received new log-in details around this date. If you have not received these then you should contact OSCR using the following link as you will need the log-in details to submit your annual returns.

What's New?

The new on-line portal brings with it several changes for Charities.

Each charity can now choose 3 “users” and each of those users will have their own log-in details (rather than 1 log-in and password per charity). Each “user” must have their own email address – they cannot all use the generic organisation email address.

Users can also be linked to more than one charity – each user will have 1 set of log-in details (email address and password) and if linked to more than one charity, will be given a choice from a drop down menu showing all the charities they are linked to.

The layout of the portal is different from the previous OSCR site but the information required to submit a charity’s annual return is the same. The new portal does have the capability to allow larger documents to be uploaded – the limit is now 30 MB and 5 documents per annual report – and has greater flexibility for future adaptations.
