VASLan Third Sector Forum: What to expect from the March event?

VASLan is poised for its first Third Sector Forum event of 2022 on Tuesday, 29th March at 10.30 am to 12.00 pm. The event will announce an update on VASLan managed funds, including the Communities Mental Health & Wellbeing Fund, Integrated Care Fund (ICF) and Building & Celebrating Communities (BCC). It is an open invitation to organisations and community groups all across South Lanarkshire to network and share ideas. The forum itself will hopefully bring together people from a different range of knowledge to work together.

One of the anticipated agendas during the event is to find out the opportunity to restructure of the Third Sector Forum events. It is an interesting prospect for an organisation or partnership in each locality to lead and facilitate the new locality networks. A sum of £10,000 is available to support delivery in each locality. VASLan will continue to provide access to resources and support throughout the process of organising the event.

The Third Sector Forum Event is about to get better. And we need your help!

Held quarterly in each of four localities in South Lanarkshire – (Clydesdale, Rutherglen & Cambuslang, East Kilbride & Strathaven and Hamilton, Larkhall & Blantyre) – Third Sector Forum (TSF) has been running since 2015. It is arranged and facilitated by Voluntary Action South Lanarkshire (VASLan) and has been a great platform for the third sector in South Lanarkshire to share ideas and influence public policy, as well as address local needs, encourage creativity and celebrate the contribution of the third sector.

In order to improve engagement in the sector, provide ownership, and drive the local agenda of the event-specific to each locality, VASLan seek to enhance and restructure the agenda to locality network events which will be driven locally by third sector organisations in each locality. A sum of £10,000 will be provided to each successful organisation or partnership to take the role in leading the Third Sector Forum.
