Open Now: Social Enterprise Fund

The Social Enterprise Fund is now open for applications. 

his funding comes from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) and grants between £5,000 - £10,000 are available. 

The priorities of the Fund include: supporting Social Enterprises to grow, reaching marginalised communities, promoting inclusion and supporting communities to recover.

Strategic Commissioning Plan - Third Sector Engagement Session

The South Lanarkshire Integration Joint Board (IJB) has begun to consult on the development of their new Strategic Commissioning Plan 2025 – 2028. This new Plan will have an important role in guiding the prioritisation of significant resources and the provision of services in particular by South Lanarkshire University Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) over the next three years.

Joanne McMann, Engagement Lead at VASLan, has been interviewing people from across South Lanarkshire who have benefited from third sector services. The organisations who delivered these vital services and support all received funding from the Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund (CMHWF).

This report aims to demonstrate the necessity of local third sector organisations and advocate for fairer funding. We want to say a big thank you to everyone who took part and shared their story. 

VASLan Business Growth Programme

News Date

Through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), VASLan have commissioned Inspirent to run a training programme for local Social Enterprises. 

The VASLan Business Growth Programme  is designed for Social Enterprises in South Lanarkshire that either 1. Own or manage premises or 2. Are involved in, or have recently been successful with, the Community Asset Transfer process. 

The programme starts in January 2025, is fully funded and limited to 12 places to ensure personalised support.
