If you have brilliant ideas for a project that will making contribution to a cleaner and greening South Lanarkshire, you might want to apply for the funding.

There is an opportunity for the community to access two new grants which will bring people together to tackle climate change and encourage the development of various new project in the community.

WAT IF? Community Trust is Awarded A Grant by Scottish Land Fund to Purchase Loanhead Farm

A small farm in South Lanarkshire will pass into community hands as communities across Scotland today start their Christmas celebrations early with grants from the Scottish Land Fund.

Loanhead Farm near Tarbrax is set to be bought by WAT IF? a local community development trust following an award from the Scottish Land Fund. The award is part of a package of grants to 12 groups in Scotland totaling £2,754,897.

Scottish Recovery Consortium Recovery Seed Fund

The Scottish Recovery Consortium (SRC) has just announced the launch of their new Recovery Seed Fund.

This fund is available to all new (under 12 months) and unconstituted Lived Experience recovery groups/organisations, with an initial award of up to £5000 on offer to help towards start-up & running costs. A key advantage of this fund is the additional on-going support that will be given to develop your group/organisation to become sustainable, skilled and independent.

GoodCall Mobile Phones for Non-Profit

This includes mobile phones and line rental, saving customers on average 40% on their current contracts. As a social enterprise, any profit they achieve is re-distributed into the organisations they work with to help them deliver their services, and to create sustainable employment for individuals furthest from the job market.

Scotland’s Climate Festival is now open for registration on November 2.

Would you like your community to be involved? The Climate Festival, which is funded by Scottish Government, and run by Keep Scotland Beautiful will support communities across Scotland to host events on climate action – be it a growing workshop, led bike ride or introduction to community energy.
