The Volunteer Friendly Award is a simple, user-friendly mark of quality signifying excellence in the way organisations manage, support and involve their volunteers. The Award was designed by Volunteer Centre Dundee, with VASLan being the first organisation in South Lanarkshire to achieve the standard required. VASLan are also eligible to assess and present the award to South Lanarkshire organisations.
Provided your organisation is a VASLan Member, we will work with you, free of charge, to review your volunteer management practices with a view to making any required improvements to get them to the standard required for the Volunteer Friendly Award. In this way, you can help ensure that your organisation is offering its volunteers the support they deserve, while the organisation is also rewarded by gaining official recognition of good practice.
If you are interested in working towards being officially Volunteer Friendly, please contact Roisin McCusker on 01698 300 390 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
