Glassford Community Group
Glassford Community Group has recently gained charitable status after an amazing 5 years working in the community, with a little help from VASLan!
The group has done incredible work to improve the playpark, gravyeard and are working towards an asset transfer of the community hall! The group has also funded the purchase and installation of defibrillator and arranges training sessions for the residents!
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit they could be helping the most vulnerable in the community so began collecting prescriptions and shopping!
It was heartbreaking when they had to postpone their annual Beer and Gin festival this year due to the current circumstances but are delighted to have it rearranged to the 3rd October, what a perfect way to celebrate their fabulous news!
We can't wait to see what the future holds for the group!
