Aberlour’s Urgent Assistance Fund

Aberlour’s Urgent Assistance Fund can provide cash grants to help families with children who are suffering extreme hardship, including the impact of the Coronavirus.

Applications must be endorsed and submitted by a sponsor, acting in their professional capacity. Examples of eligible sponsors include social workers, health care professionals, teachers, clergy and third sector organisations. Applications from individuals cannot be accepted. 

Asda Foundation

In response to COVID-19 the Asda Foundation has developed 2 new grants. 

The Hygiene Grant is focussed on personal hyigene dignity. 

Healthy holiday grant is designed to support groups who typically would be holding summer holiday activities to ensure children are provided with a hot meal. 

Applications are available from your local Asda store and ask for the local community champion/ 

BBC Children in Need: COVID-19 Response

The COVID-19 2020 Booster Grants Programme is open to current BBC Children in Need grant holders and enables organisations to apply for funding up to £5,000 over a 6 month period. 

The COVID-19 Large Grants programme is also open and will enable organisations to apply for funding up to £80,000 over an 18 month period.

Community Response, Recovery & Resilience Fund (RRR)

This RRR Fund will support local charities and grassroots organisations across Scotland to help them respond to the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic and recover from its impact.

In partnership with the National Emergencies Trust (NET), Foundation Scotland is delivering the Community Response, Recovery and Resilience Fund. Foundation Scotland is the lead partner for NET in Scotland. 

Foundation Scotland - Scotch Whisky Action Fund

This fund will support and develop a range of products/initiatives, which deliver targeted interventions designed to tackle alcohol related harms across young people under the age of 18, families and communities. 

The fund will focus on applications from new/innovative or pilot initiatives, which aim to test new approaches and will offer an opportunity for learning that others can use.

Funding For Housing Related Charities and Projects in the UK

This fund aims to support housing projects working to strengthen local communities and support the most vulnerable by:

  • Preventing people from losing their home 
  • Helping people into a home 
  • Supporting people to thrive within their home environment

Projects that help charities get back on their feet after the impact of COVID-19 will be favoured this year.

Maximum Grant: £50,000 

Hope for the Young - COVID-19 Emergency Fund

This fund aims to support young refugees and asylum seekers during COVID-19 pandemic. 

Given the growing impact of COVID-19, they have launched an emergency relief fund to support young asylum seekers and refugees at this time. 

The objectives of the scheme are to support the immediate health and wellbeing of young asylum seekers and refugees and help to relieve destitution and poverty in general.
