Independent Age Grants Fund

This fund helps smaller organisations across the UK to support older people most affected by COVID-19. 

The fund aims to help those who are: 

  • Living in complex and challenging situations 
  • In danger of being out of sight out of mind 

£2 million will be released across four separate funding rounds. In each round £500,000 will be available where organisations can apply to receive £15,000 each.

National Lottery Community Fund

The National Lottery Community Fund have decided that all the funding decisions they make for the next six months (up to £300m of National Lottery funding) will be devoted to addressing the current crisis. In addition, they will accelerate the cash part of this funding as much as they can, so that they can get money to where it needs to be. You can read their update via the link below.

Renewable Energy Fund COVID-19

Easier access to Green energy funding to ease impact of Coronavirus

Applications for Windfarm funded grants are to be fast-tracked to support local groups and organisations impacted by measures to tackle the spread of coronavirus.

Community Benefit Funds generated by windfarms in South Lanarkshire total about £3.1million annually, measures have been approved to earmark up to £600,000 during the next three months to deliver assistance and support in response to coronavirus.

Ryvoan Trust

This fund is available to charitable organisations supporting people in difficulty as a result of COVID-19 restrictions. 

To apply for this grant, please email secretary@ryvoantrust.com with an outline of how this grant could help you, how much is needed and how it will be spent.  

Saint Nicholas Care Fund

Offers small grants to organisations that support disadvantaged communities based in the Archdiocese of Glasgow. Grants of up to £5,000 can cover a wide range range of activities but must be for a one-off project. They have a preference for small community based initiatives based around the principles of volunteerism and self help.

Tesco Bags of Help Covid-19 Communities Fund (excludes groups in EK)

Tesco Bags of Help has set up a new short-term fund to support organisational need in this time of crisis. It will prioritise organisations whose need for services has been disrupted, who require to put in place new services, and those facing increased demand. Grants of £500 are available.

Third Sector Resilience Fund

The Third Sector Resilience Fund (TSRF) is a £20m emergency fund for charities, community groups, social enterprises and voluntary organisations working in Scotland. The fund supports organisations that already deliver services and products but find themselves in financial difficulties directly as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. The primary intention of the fund is to help third sector organisations to stabilise and manage cash flows over this difficult period.
