Neurodiversity Celebration Week is a worldwide initiative that challenges stereotypes and misconceptions about neurological differences. It aims to transform how neurodivergent individuals are perceived and supported by providing schools, universities, and organisations with the opportunity to recognise the many talents and advantages of being neurodivergent, while creating more inclusive and equitable cultures that celebrate differences and empower every individual.
The purpose of Disabled Access Day is to celebrate accessibility and inclusion across the UK. With this in mind, we wanted to highlight some initiatives that can improve accessibility for neurodiverse individuals who would otherwise feel unable to enjoy some aspects of life without support.
International Women’s Day (IWD) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. Additionally, it’s a call to action for accelerating gender parity, recognizing the barriers women face, and celebrating the milestones in women’s rights and equality.
Cervical Cancer Prevention Week 2024 is a dedicated awareness campaign aimed at educating people about cervical cancer, its prevention, and the importance of regular screenings. Cervical cancer is a largely preventable disease, and this week serves as a reminder to prioritize cervical health and take steps to reduce the risk of this cancer.
Random Acts of Kindness Day is a day dedicated to promoting kindness and goodwill. It encourages individuals to perform simple, unexpected acts of kindness to brighten someone’s day and create a ripple effect of positivity. It’s a day to celebrate the power of kindness and compassion.
