We would like to invite you to join us on Wednesday 23rd June from 12:30pm to 1:30pm for our “Impact Report 20/21: Virtual Launch” which will demonstrate the impact of the TSI from 1st April 2020 to 31st March 2021, and celebrate the COVID-19 community response of the third sector, voluntary organisations and partners. Feel free to bring your own lunch and join us for 60 minutes of reflection with cross-sector guest speakers on the incredible work of individuals, neighbourhoods and communities, and a glance towards a future of recovery, renewal and reimagining.

2021 marks the 37th year of Volunteers’ Week (1-7 June), when VASLan will join thousands of charities and voluntary organisations recognising the contribution volunteers make across the UK and thanking them for all they do.

Third Sector Forum

This hour long Virtual Third Sector Forum will focus on a reintroduction to VASLan.

Introducing our newly appointed CEO and providing an overview of our roles, the support we offer to the sector and our representation within South Lanarkshire partnerships. Third Sector input into the VASLan direction of travel is of vital importance to us and as part of our current Strategy review, we would like to take this opportunity to hear your views on our future direction.

The Impact of Leaving the EU

The transition period for the UK leaving the European Union (EU) has now ended.

The Scottish Government wants to do all that is possible to mitigate any impacts of leaving the EU, and ensure that people can maximise any opportunities, so we are reaching out to stakeholders, including the third sector, to find out how the UK leaving the EU is impacting on charities, social enterprises and community groups, and the people/organisations that the sector supports.

Delayed Discharge: A Conversation with the Third Sector

South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnership has made big strides in reducing the length of time people are delayed in hospital but we want to improve this even further.

There is a big role for the third sector in supporting the delayed discharge / admission avoidance pathways. This could be getting shopping, switching on heating, small repairs, preventing loneliness for example. Small things that get in the way of people getting home.
