Third Sector Locality Networks

Following an application process open to all South Lanarkshire Third-Sector organisations, the new Third Sector Locality Networks were launched in September 2022 under the leadership of locality-based partnerships. The new events replaced the previous Third Sector Forum (TSF) structure facilitated by VASLan, with the ambition of forming a distinct, sector-led network in each of South Lanarkshire’s four localities to better showcase the depth of the sector, share best practices, access peer support and identify locality specific challenges, as well as opportunities for collaborative working.

Currently funded until summer 2025, the events assist in generating sector intelligence across localities which allows VASLan to better advocate strategically on behalf of the sector and more effectively target capacity-building supports. The partners/partnerships funded to deliver the Third Sector Locality Networks in line with the restructure proposal are:

Events are facilitated quarterly (typically on a cycle of March, June, September, and December) and are held in-person at venues across each locality to ensure that the opportunity to engage is open to all. Agendas are structured to include updates from local third sector organisations and strategic partners, workshops to allow the sector to have its say on a range of locality specific topics, and networking opportunities to raise awareness of local service provision and encourage collaboration.

Please see the What's On section of our website for details of upcoming events. Summary videos from previous events including feedback from attendees can be viewed via the Locality Network playlist hosted on VASLan’s YouTube channel.
