Better Transport Week 2026 takes place from 15th–21st June, and during this year’s annual celebration, VASLan and partners are delighted to announce the launch of Connecting Clydesdale, a new project that will help communities identify, shape and deliver place-based sustainable transport solutions across key locations in Clydesdale.

This collaborative programme delivered by VASLan in partnership with South Lanarkshire Council, Local Employability Partnership and third sector partners, offers flexible pathways for local people facing barriers to employment.
It's almost Volunteers Week. Every year we come together to celebrate the amazing work of volunteers across South Lanarkshire and this year it will take place on 1st - 7th June 2026.

VASLan regrets to advise that the Third Sector Hustings scheduled for Wednesday 22 April 2026 at Carluke Lifestyles has been cancelled.
This decision has been made due to low participant numbers, which means we would not be able to deliver the event in a way that ensures a meaningful and balanced discussion for the sector.
As we fast approach the 2026 Holyrood elections, we will be hosting a cross-party Third Sector Hustings Event. This is a great opportunity to hear from local candidates, learn more about their commitments to the third sector and ask any questions.
