CPP Engagement Development Day

On Wednesday 14 May, VASLan hosted a powerful day of engagement between the Community Planning Partnership (CPP) and the Third Sector. 

The CPP Development Day brought together key voices from across the third sector and statutory bodies to explore how we can work better together to deliver real change for our communities. Three organisations represented the sector, with VASLan proud to host. The day focused on creating more genuine, resourced and inclusive collaboration within the Community Planning Partnership.

We can't wait to celebrate the dedicated and passionate volunteers' that are supporting people across South Lanarkshire. Come and join us for Volunteers' Week from Monday 2nd - Sunday 8th June 2025. 

 

At VASLan, we are hosting two special events - a celebration event in Lanark and a volunteer recruitment event in East Kilbride. You can find the details below.

Volunteer Organisation Showcase & Recruitment Event

This event will showcase organisations in East Kilbride & Strathaven - raising awareness and giving an opportunity for members of the public to get involved with volunteering.

Time: 11.00am - 2.00pm

Volunteer Celebration Event

A celebration for South Lanarkshire volunteers to coincide with Volunteers' Week 2025. The day will include an Afternoon tea, speeches, quiz and showcasing volunteer achievements.

Strategic Engagement Workshop

To shape a new strategic relationship between the South Lanarkshire's Third Sector and South Lanarkshire Council that reflects mutual values and understanding. To improve collaboration and strengthen representation of the third sector. This session forms part of the SLC/Third Sector Partnership Review and is a deliberative space for discussion, ideas, suggestions and potential solutions. Please note this is not a decision-making space. Subsequent workshops will focus on the funding relationship, commissioning, and the delivery partner relationship.

Time: 10.00am - 12.00pm

East Kilbride Drop-In Surgery

Our team will be available to provide guidance and support on funding opportunities, volunteering, governance, capacity building and more to local organisations based in East Kilbride. No booking needed - drop-in any time and chat to us.

Cambuslang Community Hub: A Space To Talk

South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnership and our local partners are offering 1:1 advice about a range of health and social care topics. Come along to have a chat about support and resources you can access to help you with any health and wellbeing challenges you may be experiencing at present.
