Scottish Government Engagement Session

Event Date

The Scottish Parliament’s Participation and Communities Team is responsible for ensuring that the voices of local communities are heard and considered in the work of the Parliament. The team works to engage with and learn from third sector organisations of all sizes in order to enable the views of those most affected by policy decisions to be heard by MSPs. With the election having just passed, there is a great opportunity right now to speak to new and returning MSPs as they seek to learn about the key issues facing the communities they represent.

Ewan Masson of the Participation and Communities Team will be hosting a virtual engagement session that will explain the various ways in which local community groups and individuals in South Lanarkshire can influence policy at the Scottish Parliament. The session will also help to identify ways in which the team can engage better and reach out more effectively. The views and experiences of every community group matter. With the Parliament’s new Committees forming soon and determining their focus for the year ahead, the session is an ideal opportunity to learn how you can ensure the issues that matter most to you are heard.

The session will take place on Wednesday 9th June, 2-4pm. To book your place, please register via the link below. After registering you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the session.

Time: 2pm to 4pm
