Volunteer Green Health Event Chatelherault

VASLan supported the Lanarkshire Green Health Partnership at an NHS Green Health event at Chatelherault recently. The event brought together health and social care professionals to raise awareness of the wide range of green health volunteering opportunities and the benefits they can bring. Amongst other activities, they enjoyed getting their hands dirty making seed bombs, the finished products will be distributed to voluntary organisations across Lanarkshire as part of a VASLan and VANL joint Volunteers’ Week campaign “growing volunteering across Lanarkshire”.

The awards will recognise the wide, varied and vital work carried out by the South Lanarkshire third sector on a daily basis. Anyone can nominate an organisation or volunteer (including themselves). 

Nominate for the following categories:

Emergency First At Work Training

This  training course will provide the  attendees with  skills to  manage  First Aid  issues  in the work place. Attendees will receive a Certificate, together with online access to a complete manual and weekly video updates for a year following the course and access to a host of other resources provided by Pro Training.

NHS Lanarkshire looking for views on realistic medicine

NHS Lanarkshire is inviting people in Lanarkshire to come along and talk about what realistic medicine means to them.

Realistic medicine is a national approach to healthcare which puts patients at the centre of decisions made about their treatment.

NHS Lanarkshire will hold two events where people can find out more about how realistic medicine is being delivered in Lanarkshire and give their views about what is important to them.
