Scotland’s Census 2022: VASLan Census Completion Day

Event Date

Scotland’s Census usually takes place every ten years and is the official count of every person and household in the country. Completing the Census is important because the answers provide the Scottish Government and many other service providers with the data they need to make important decisions that affect people’s lives and their communities.

Census Day is Sunday 20th March, but people will be able to complete their Census online as soon as they receive their letter. To assist those in the community who require support in completing the Census, VASLan is hosting a Census Completion Day on Monday 14th March 2022, 9.00 am - 5.00 pm within our office at 128 Almada Street, Hamilton, ML3 0EW.

To book your slot, please firstly ensure that you have either received or have requested an Internet Access Code (this will be on your Census letter) or paper questionnaire depending on how you wish your household to participate, and book a slot by calling 01698 300390 or contacting stuart.reilly@vaslan.org.uk.

When booking, please provide the number of individuals in your household and whether you wish support with completing the Census online or via the paper questionnaire. Booking in advance is essential and you should ensure that you bring your household’s Internet Access Code or paper questionnaire on the day. Please note that unless exempt, face coverings should be worn in circulation areas within our office, including when entering and leaving the premises.
