VASLan is set to relaunch the Building and Celebrating Communities Programme
VASLan is now inviting applications from organisations and community groups across South Lanarkshire to apply for the small grant scheme Building and Celebrating Communities (BCC) programme. It is a program to get the community groups and grassroots organisations to get BCC appropriate initiatives off the ground.
The annual VASLan Third Sector Awards are back for 2022 and nominations are now open! VASLan are looking forward to hosting the award to recognise the incredible work and outstanding contribution of the Third Sector in South Lanarkshire. The award ceremony is expected to be held in October 2022.

What are your stories?
With the aim to provide information on sources of funding for organisations and community groups across South Lanarkshire, VASLan held a virtual Third Sector Forum on Tuesday 29th March. It’s the first event of 2022.
Attended by as many as 30 representatives of third sector organisations and community groups in South Lanarkshire, the webinar kicked off with an overview of the VASLan Managed Fund. It is a form of funding that is administered and distributed by VASLan on behalf of our partners or the Scottish Government.
The Transitional Support Programme for Young People (TSPYP) offers access to training, volunteering and jobs in South Lanarkshire.

Time to Talk Day is the UK's biggest mental health conversations taking place on Thursday, 3rd February. It is the day that friends, families, communities, and workplaces come together to talk, listen and change lives. In Scotland, Time to Talk Day is run by See Me and SAMH (Scottish Association for Mental Health).
Community Fundraising Manager from easyfundraising, Becky Coleman, will talk through how your voluntary group, CIC, social enterprise, church, school, sports club or charity, can use the easyfundraising platform to benefit from unrestricted funding in 2022. Becky will demonstrate how the platform works, show you how to get started and answer any questions you have.
